Rubbish set alight next to river in Canklow
ARSONISTS torched a pile of rubbish next to a river in Canklow overnight.
Firefighters from Parkway station were called to Canklow Road at 4.03am.
The crew found a pile of rubbish alight next to the river, said a spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue.
The fire was dealt with just before 5am and is thought to have been started deliberately.
