Rubbish set alight at horse field

RUBBISH was dumped and set alight at the entrance to a field of horses last night (Thursday).

Firefighters were called to Mansfield Road at Waleswood just before 10.20pm.

They were there until 11pm and the blaze is thought to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters also dealt with a hedge fire beside the A57 at Swallownest shortly after 8.30pm yesterday and a rubbish fire on Reservoir Road, Ulley, just after 4.30am today.

Both are thought to have been started deliberately.
