Rubbish and wheelie bins torched in Conisbrough and Edlington

ARSONISTS set light to rubbish and wheelie bins overnight in Conisbrough and Edlington.

Firefighters from Edlington were called to Athelstane Road, Conisbrough, at 7.50pm, and found rubbish alight in a garden.

They spent 40 minutes at the scene. 

A crew from Edlington were then dispatched to St John's Road, Edlington, at just before 9.20pm to deal with two wheelie bins on fire in a park.

They came away after 20 minutes.  

A spokesperson from South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said that the cause of both fires were believed to be deliberate.
