Rubbish and scooter set alight in Masbrough and Swallownest
RUBBISH and a scooter were torched overnight in Masbrough and Swallownest.
In Masbrough, firefighters were dispatched to Avondale Road at 9.57pm and found a pile of rubbish on fire in a farm field. This fire was dealt with by 10.24pm.
A crew from Aston Park were called out to Gray Avenue, Swallownest, at 12.45am and found a motor scooter well alight. They left the scene just after 1am.
A spokesman from South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said it was thought both fires had been deliberately.
