Rubbish and grass fire targeted by arsonists in Denaby Main

ARSONISTS set light to grassland and rubbish in Denaby Main overnight.

Dearne firefighters were called out to a grassland fire on Bolton Street at 7.45pm and were on scene for 45 minutes.  

At 8.10pm, a crew from Edlington were dispatched to Pitman Road to rubbish on fire and had left the area by 8.30pm.

Both fires were believed to be deliberate, said a spokeswoman from South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue.
