Rubbish and bin torched in Dalton and Brinsworth

RUBBISH and a bin were set alight by arsonists in Dalton and Brinsworth last night (Tuesday).

A crew from Rotherham station was called to Dalton Lane, Dalton, at 8.05pm where rubbish was on fire. The crew left the scene at 8.30pm.

The second incident involving the bin being torched was dealt with by a crew from Parkway station in Barden Crescent, Brinsworth, at 9.55pm. They were at the scene for 20 minutes.

The cause of both incidents were deliberate, said a spokeswoman from South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue.
