Royal's visit to Britain's enterprise capital postponed

A visit to by Prince Andrew to Rotherham has been postponed for two weeks due to the weather.

The town was preparing to roll out the red carpet today for a royal visit to the “Most Enterprising Place in Britain."

But the visit has been rearranged for later in the month after the Duke of York, who was expected to arrive by helicoper, had trouble travelling due to this morning's fog.

Children were due to show The Duke of York why Rotherham landed the title of the country’s enterprise leader when he dropped in to Herringthorpe Infants School.

He was also due to visit Rotherham College of Arts and Technology to open the new Wentworth building, before meeting representatives from the borough’s most booming businesses.
