Rotherham’s wall of love shows support for refugees

VISITORS to Rotherham Show declared their support for refugees by helping decorate a wall of love.

More than 100 people wrote a message of support for refugees on orange hearts, which were put on display at the Clifton Park event.

One message said: “Welcome, we are here to support you I any way. There is always light at the end of a tunnel.”

The orange heart was chosen by Together for Refugees to celebrate 70 years since the United Nations Convention on Refugees was launched, as it is the colour of life belts.

The tribute was organised by Rotherham Interfaith Group,  who are holding a litter pic on September 21 at 4pm, starting from the Unity Centre in St Ann’s, as part of the Great Big Green Week.
