Rotherham wakes up to a dusting of snow

DRIVERS have been warned of the risk of ice after snow fell in parts of Rotherham overnight.

The Met Office has issued a yellow ‘be aware’ warning for ice on untreated roads as temperatures struggle to rise above freezing on Friday morning.

Forecasters said showers were expected to continue throughout the day and overnight into Saturday but will be a mix of rain, sleet and snow.
