Warne faces competition from Gillingham's Neil Harris, MK Dons' Liam Manning and Sheffield Wednesday's Darren Moore while Vickers is up against Bolton Wanderers centre-forward Amadou Bakayoko, Wednesday midfielder Barry Bannan and Cheltenham Town attacker Alfie May.

The winners will be announced on Friday morning.

Warne's citation reads: "Rotating his side when necessary because of their hectic schedule, Warne guided the League One leaders to 19 points from a possible 21, winning ugly at difficult moments, but still scoring 13 and conceding just a single goal in seven games."

Vickers' commendation says: "The Millers needed his shot-stopping ability to edge close games. That they still won six out of seven and conceded just one goal was down to his brilliance at Sheffield Wednesday and a penalty save against Accrington Stanley."

The judging panel for the manager's gong is comprised of former Barnsley manager Danny Wilson, Sky Sports’ EFL pundit Don Goodman; EFL communications director Mark Rowan, and Sky Bet EFL betting expert Ivor Davies.

Goodman, Rowan and Davies will decide on the player's award which was won in January by Rotherham top scorer Michael Smith.
