Rotherham town centre office evacuated due to ‘suspicious package’

Police responded to reports of a suspicious package being left at Brearley & Co Accountants Ltd in The Crofts, Rotherham, at around 11.30am, a spokeswoman said.

“A local business took the decision to evacuate the building as a precaution,” she added. 

“Officers conducted a search of the building and the package has been assessed as non-suspicious.”

The business reopened at around 1pm.
