Rotherham Sight and Sound pledge to deliver medication and essentials to clients

A SENSORY service for the deaf and blind has pledged to deliver medication, meals and other essentials to clients.

Rotherham Sight & Sound will also continue its community advice service but this has been changed from home visits to phone calls.

General manager Steve Hambleton said: “We are naturally concerned for our clients with sight or hearing loss who will obviously face difficulties.

“For any clients who are self-isolating, we will be looking to support them in their self-isolation by offering a home delivery service.

“We are asking clients who might not have any family, friends or neighbours who can do their shopping to please give us a call to register your interest.

“We already provide a service here where we call people who live on their own and can't get out, so for now, this will be extended to try to support the numbers of people who will now be asked to self-isolate who would normally come in to the centre each a week.”
