UMBRELLAS were the order of the day as hundreds of people of all ages braved the wet weather in Rotherham to pay their respects to the war dead on Remembrance Sunday.

A parade and a service in Rotherham Minster preceded the Act of Remembrance, with the two-minute silence at the war memorial in Clifton Park at 11am.
