Rotherham man charged over stolen cars seized at farm

A 25-year-old man from Rotherham is among five charged with handling stolen goods after several vehicles and vehicle parts were recovered from a farm.

Officers carried out a warrant at a farm in Clowne on June 23 last year.

They found a large number of vehicles which had been reported stolen, as well as parts which police believe came from stolen vehicles.

None of the men charged have yet been named.

Three of the others are aged 17, 21 and 26 and are from Sheffield. The final man is 21 and from Renishaw.

A police spokesman said: “Some of the vehicles had been reported stolen by Derbyshire residents, but others came from South Yorkshire.

“Officers spent three days searching the farm.”
