Rotherham man arrested over car theft

The 27-year-old Rotherham man was arrested after reports of a stolen vehicle travelling from Sheffield to Rotherham on Wednesday, August 15.

The vehicle had been reported stolen the previous day, a spokesman for South Yorkshire Police said.

Officers found the vehicle in a compound in the Templeborough area near Magna, with a number of other suspected stolen vehicles.

The 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and has been released under investigation while enquiries continue, added the spokesman.
