The event at Riverside Library is part of a national culture campaign, bringing arts, science, craft and tech activities into communities.

With the motto “everyone an artist and everyone a scientist”, the scheme aims to get people joining in and learning — be it crochet or coding.

The Fun Palace visits Riverside House on Saturday, October 7, between 10am and 3pm.

Activities include music in the café, story activities in the children’s library, digital photography and coding sessions and crafting demonstrations.

Rotherham African Drummers, Rotherham Music Service, Open Minds Theatre Company and Knit and Natter will all take part in the community-led event.

There will be activities for children and adults throughout the day. Participants can simply turn up — there is no need to book.
