Rotherham firefighters tackle trio of deliberate blazes overnight

ARSONISTS set fire to a car and two bins across the borough overnight.

Crews spent nearly an hour tackling a car which was deliberately set on fire on Chapel Lane, Thurnscoe. Firefighters attended the incident at 7.25pm, leaving the scene at 8.20pm.

Aston firefighters were called out to a deliberate bin fire at 10.10pm on Woodsetts Road, North Anston. The crew came away at 10.25pm.

Edlington firefighters also attended a deliberate fire involving a wheelie bin at the same time last night on Sickleworks Close, Conisbrough. The crew left the scene at 10.30pm.
