Rotherham Council tightens regulations on lap dancing clubs
SEX entertainment venues are set for tighter restrictions after consultation showed high level public support.
Over three-quarters of the 422 responses to Rotherham Council strongly agreed with the idea. It will see the council adopt schedule three of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982, meaning more types of venue would require licences.

Hide AdLewis Coates, council head of regulation and enforcement, said: “From the responses it is clear that there is a public desire to adopt powers to improve the licensing and regulation of sex establishments.”
The findings will go before cabinet members on Monday.
