Rotherham cops find and return motorcylist’s stolen “prized possession”

A MOTORBIKE owner from Manchester has been reunited with his “prized possession” thanks to eagle-eyed police officers on the beat in Rotherham.

Reports were made to Greater Manchester Police that a motorcycle had been stolen during a burglary in the Glossop area on Monday. 

The bike owner told South Yorkshire Police the bike’s tracker device was showing as being in the Rawmarsh area.

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police  said: “Officers from Main Street carried out extensive searches of the area and reviewed local CCTV footage. The bike was located partially concealed in bushes close to Dale Road.

“PC David Wilks and PC Ben Robinson pushed the bike to Main Street and contacted the owner with the good news. 

“The owner was able to attend the following day and be reunited with his prized possession.”
