Rotherham Central closed due to flooding
COMMUTERS are facing fresh disruption after a railway station was flooded for the second time in four months.
No trains or trams are running through Rotherham Central today (Monday) after downpours during Storm Dennis left the railway lines under water.
Northern, which operates railway services at the station, said all lines were blocked and all services due to run through the station were cancelled, with disruption expected until the end of the day.
Rail replacement services are running between Swinton, Rotherham and Meadowhall until 00.10am.
Stagecoach Supertram said there would be no Tram Train services until at least the end of the day.
