Rotherham care homes rated 'excellent'

THREE care homes have been given glowing reports after being judged to be ‘excellent’ by an inspection team from Rotherham Borough Council.

The Cranworth Close, John Street and Oak Close homes cater for a total of 56 people and are run by Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH).

All three homes provide residential and nursing services to people with learning disabilities.

The inspection team from looked at areas including safeguarding, staffing, environment, medication and complaints.

Cranworth Close received a 100 per cent positive score from residents and staff.

Manager Sarah Winfield said: “There is evidence of best practice in all three homes in areas such as user and family consultation, social activity and end of life care.”
