Rotherham businesses unite to promote town

A HOST of businesses and civic leaders teamed up to pledge to build Rotherham a positive profile on the national stage.

Over the past few months, leading businesses and organisations in Rotherham have been developing a new strategy for the borough, which was officially launched at the New York Stadium on Wednesday.

The strategy, titled The Rotherham Story, signals a new business-led approach to drive investment, transformation and growth.

It was launched at an event hosted by businesswoman Jule Kenny, chairman of Wentworth Woodhouse Preservation Trust.

Those behind the document hope to use it as part of their approach to win new business for Rotherham and build a better public image than that left by child sex abuse scandal.
