'Robbers on moped' target Meadowhall shopper in car park
TWO men riding a suspected stolen moped attempted to steal jewellery from a member of the public in Meadowhall’s car park.
An off-duty officer reported the robbery in the orange zone car park at 2.57pm on Saturday (19).
When challenged, the men became aggressive and were then involved in an altercation with the officer and several members of the public, said a police spokeswoman.
Numerous resources were deployed to the scene and a man in his 20s was detained, she added.
