Robber threatens to stab victim

POLICE are appealing for information after a man was assaulted during a street robbery in Brinsworth.

A 21-year-old man was walking home along Nelson Close after an evening out with a friend when he was approached by a man who said: "How much money have you got?. Gimme what you've got or I'm gonna stab ya."

The victim removed £45 in notes from his wallet, which was snatched from his hand by the offender during the attack at around 1.15am on March 26.

The 21-year-old was punched in the mouth, causing a small cut to his lip but told police that he did not see a knife or weapon.

The offender is described as a white man in his mid-thirties, about 5ft 10in tall with a slender build and was wearing a dark jacket and dark baseball hat. He had dark stubble on his face and spoke with a broad Yorkshire accent.

Police would like to speak to anyone who saw what happened or has information about the incident.
