Shortly after 9.30am today, police asked motorists to avoid Houghton Road, Thurnscoe, while the clear-up took place.

Hide AdA police spokesperson said: "We received a call at 9.37am for reports of a lorry losing its load on Houghton Road in Rotherham.
"Steel from the lorry fell causing damage to a Volkswagen Estate. No-one was injured.
"The road was closed while recovery and clean up took place."
