Reclaim the Night returns to Rotherham town centre
Last year's event in Rotherham town centre

A TOWN centre walk to raise awareness about women’s safety issues will return for a third year.

Reclaim The Night will be held on Friday, November 17, with the stroll around the town, starting from outside Riverside House at 6pm.

The walk will be followed by a women-only event featuring the Women’s Quilt project from 7pm at Rotherham Rise on Main Street.

The quilt is made up of 598 patches in memory of the number of women killed by their current or former partners in England and Wales between 2009 and 2015.

It will be on display and a speaker will talk about the commemorative project.
