REACTION: Warne praises his team's will to win

ROTHERHAM United boss Paul Warne praised his side's will to win after they ended 2017 with a victory at Walsall.

The Millers had to dig deep at times, but goals from Semi Ajayi and David Ball clinched their fourth win in the last five games.

And Warne was over the moon with both his side's attacking play, and their willingness to defend their lead.

He said: "It's nice to win football matches.

"To finish the end of the year with a win is great and with the run we are on at the minute the club is a happy place to be.

"It wasn't a classic, it was a little bit end to end, both teams looked tired at times but a couple of times we came under pressure I thought the lads put their bodies on the line for me.

"Going forward there were a few good performances. David Ball was excellent again, Richie Towell did really well in the middle of the park and Anthony Forde was a constant threat.

"There's a lot of positives to take."
