Rawmarsh man found guilty over farmhouse raid

A RAWMARSH man has been found guilty of burgling a farmhouse and stealing shotguns and cash.

Ashley Goodinson (39), of South Street, Rawmarsh, raided a farmhouse in Bradgate, Sheffield, on April 20, shortly after 2pm.

He took six shotguns, 400 shotgun pellets and £2,000 in cash while the owner was out.

Goodinson was found guilty by a jury at Sheffield Crown Court on Monday (29) following a two-day trial.

He owned a white Mercedes van which was used to carry stolen goods away from the farmhouse.

He was later seen on CCTV walking in and out of the flat of his then-girlfriend, Jessica Allen, who has already admitted handling stolen goods in connection with the burglary.

Goodinson was remanded into custody and will be sentenced on a date which has not yet been set.
