Rawmarsh family wake to find two cars on fire

A FAMILY in Rawmarsh woke up to find two cars on their driveway had been set on fire in an arson attack on Wednesday.

Police were called to the property on Thrybergh Hall Road at 2.50am to reports of an arson. 

It is reported that the occupants at the address awoke to find two vehicles set alight, said a police spokeswoman.

A crew from Rotherham fire station was called to the blaze at at 2.40am to find the cars well alight.

They left the scene at just after 3.30am. 

A police investigation is now underway. Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting incident number 78 of April 22, or to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
