A NINE-mile railway walk starting in Rotherham is being held on Saturday. Walk promoter, Stuart Parker, of the Ramblers' Association said: "It will start from the Chapel on the Bridge, and will be an interesting linear walk along public footpaths

A NINE-mile railway walk starting in Rotherham is being held on Saturday.

Walk promoter, Stuart Parker, of the Ramblers' Association said: "It will start from the Chapel on the Bridge, and will be an interesting linear walk along public footpaths and trails from Rotherham to Meadowhall via Scholes, Thorpe and Hill Top with extensive views across the Don Valley. "

Meet at 10.10am at Rotherham Central station for the start of the walk.

Trains depart Sheffield at 09.57, Meadowhall at 10.03 and Doncaster 09.24 to arrive in time for the start.

All are welcome. The walk is free, but fares apply.
