A QUAD bike rider is in a critical condition after colliding with a car in Edlington yesterday (Wednesday).

A QUAD bike rider is in a critical condition after colliding with a car in Edlington yesterday.

The car was travelling along Broomhouse Lane towards Doncaster at about 9.05pm when a group of quad bikes joined the road from a parking area opposite Lords Head Lane, a police spokesperson said.

The car collided with one of the quad bikes, whose rider suffered serious head injuries and remains in a critical condition in hospital, added the spokesperson.

Police said the other quad bikes travelled on towards Edlington while the car driver remained at the scene.

Officers would like anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.

Insp Jason Booth, of the Roads Policing Group, said: “We want to develop a complete picture of what happened here.

“If anyone witnessed the moments before the incident, the incident itself, or has dashcam footage which captured any of it which could help the investigation, please get in touch.”

Anyone with information which could assist with enquiries is asked to call 101, quoting incident number 935 of December 8.
