A QUAD biker was airlifted to hospital with serious head injuries after a crash at Denaby Main.

The 21-year-old man was involved in a collision with a black BMW 1 Series on Wednesday evening.

Police said the BMW was travelling along Bolton Road shortly after 8.30pm and turned right into Devon Court.

A force spokesperson said: “As the BMW driver turned, they were in collision with a quad bike.

“The rider of the quad bike, a 21-year-old man, suffered serious head injuries in the collision and was airlifted to hospital.

“The driver of the BMW did not stay at the scene and enquiries are now ongoing to trace them.”

South Yorkshire Police want to hear from witnesses, or anyone who has dash-cam or CCTV footage.

“We’d also like to speak to anyone who saw either vehicle prior to the collision,” added the spokesperson.
