Pupil threatened with knife at Wath school

A PUPIL was threatened with a small knife at a Wath school.

Another pupil took the knife to St Pius X High School in Wath on Friday, police said.

A spokeswoman said he incident happened at around 9.20am but no-one was injured.

“Police received reports that a pupil had taken a small knife into a Rotherham school and threatened another pupil," she said.

The school has declined to comment on the incident and asked the Advertiser to contact Rotherham Borough Council, which has not yet responded.

One parent, who contacted the Advertiser about the incident, claimed that the school had demanded that pupils and parents did not discuss the matter on social media.
