Public quizzed on Tram Train plans

A PLANNED £5.4 million Tram Train stop at Magna has gone out to public consultation.

The scheme will include a park and ride for 100 to 150 vehicles at the Templeborough venue to improve connectivity between Parkgate, Rotherham and Sheffield.

Proposals include building two platforms at Magna with footbridge, lifts, lighting, CCTV and shelters.

The funding is from the Government’s Transforming Cities Fund. SYPTE has contracted Network Rail to deliver the tram stop.
