The Proud Awards 2018, hosted by The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust at Magna on Thursday, handed awards to its top teams and individuals.

The formal event saw nominated colleagues share a two-course meal before the winners were announced, after which there was a disco.

Advertiser reporter Dave Doyle handed the Public Recognition Award to Kelly Guest, of the hospital’s Early Attachment Service.

This category — sponsored and promoted by the newspaper — saw health service users nominate their top trust colleagues.

In a video tribute, Lynn Fitzwater, leader of the 0-19 specialist team and Kelly’s manager, described her award-winning work.

“It is an emotional job Kelly has to deliver, but she always gives it 100 per cent," she said.

“She’s calm and she always goes above and beyond her call of duty and this is reflected in the positive responses which the service gets.

“We’re extremely proud of the work the Early Attachment Service does and this award is very well-deserved.”
