Progress boost for Rotherham's low-paid workers
Staff taking part in the scheme can receive “in-work progression” support to help move along their desired career paths.
The pilot project — started last year and soon to be rolled out beyond South Yorkshire — has helped Universal Credit claimants secure promotions.

Hide AdEmployment minister Mims Davies said: “In-work progression helps people on the lowest incomes to confidently move forward so they unlock higher pay, more employment roles and find meaningful, obtainable development in their careers.
“Our fantastic DWP Work Coaches across South Yorkshire are helping people to secure a better future for themselves and their families with better pay and improved skills.”
Anyone working and receiving Universal Credit can find out more about the support by speaking to the work coach at the Jobcentre.
