A PRIMARY school closed suddenly for two days before the Easter break due to a public health issue.

Rotherham Council confirmed the school closed due to a “public health issue” and that it would reopen as normal on Monday.

The council said it could not comment on the nature of the public health issue because it could not contact anyone at the school.

An Easter bonnet competition which was due to take place on Friday, April 12, has been postponed.
