Powerminster Gleeson Services land Rotherham Interchange contract

South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive (SYPTE) has awarded Sheffield-based Powerminster Gleeson Services a 14-month contract to provide mechanical and electrical maintenance to 24 sites across the county.

Rotherham, Meadowhall, Sheffield and Barnsley are all included in the project which will see the company provide a 24/7 response to any call-outs for essential maintenance works, as well as a scheduled planned maintenance programme for high mast lighting maintenance.

“As a local company, they proved that they could be responsive to our needs to enhance the smooth running of our interchanges and other sites for the benefit and comfort of passengers.”
