Potato peelers and stand mixer paddles among stranger items handed in at knife amnesty
SOME unexpected kitchen utensils were among the haul of items seized by police at a knife amnesty in Rotherham on Friday.
Three potato peelers, a can opener and a pair of food mixer paddles were given to officers at the surrender in Fitzwilliam Square.
Stand mixer paddles and potato peelers were among the more unusual items handed in to police.
Officers from Rotherham Central Neighbourhood Policing Team revealed on Twitter that they also seized 14 knives.
All of the items will be destroyed.
