Post-mortem into woman who died in Thurcroft proves ‘inconclusive’

A POST-MORTEM examination carried out on the body of a woman who died after reports of an “altercation” has proved “inconclusive”.

The 34-year-old woman died on Wednesday after emergency services were called to a house in Cedric Crescent, Thurcroft, just before 8.50pm following reports of an altercation. 

A police spokeswoman said: “A 34-year-old woman, found unconscious, was given medical treatment at the scene but was pronounced dead shortly after.

“A post-mortem examination carried has proved inconclusive and further tests will be carried out over the coming weeks to determine exactly how she died.” 

Formal identification is expected to take place today (Friday).

A 39-year-old woman arrested in connection has been bailed.
