Police's CCTV appeal after theft and fraud at Herringthorpe

POLICE appealed for help identifying two men they wish to speak with in relation to an incident of theft and fraud.

A 31-year-old male reported having his wallet, a North Face coat and Canada Goose hat stolen from Dale Road, Herringthorpe.

Police said two men gained access to the property at 11am, while the victim was working inside on January 27.

A force spokesperson said: “The bank card is believed to have been used at the McColl’s store in Kilnhurst Road in Rotherham 30 minutes later to purchase £30 worth of cigarettes.

“Officers are now keen to identify the two men in the CCTV images as they believe they hold vital information that can help with their investigation.”

The men are described as being in their late 20s or early 30s, of a slim build and between 5ft 10ins and 6ft tall.
