Police warn over 'iSpud' con

STREET dealers are taking cash for laptops and iPhones—but handing over bags full of books or potatoes.

South Yorkshire police have warned people to be careful about buying items being flogged on the pavement after a number of people bought what they thought were electrical items only to find they had been switched for books or spuds!

They have arrested a 30-year-old man from London in connection with such incidents in Doncaster. He was bailed pending enquiries.
