Police to film drivers who don't give cyclists enough room
By Gareth Dennison | 02/08/2017
POLICE will record footage of motorists and investigate drivers not giving cyclists enough room.
The Safe Pass scheme will see PCSOs filming on the roads and passing on evidence for officers to review.
A spokesman said: “Any motorist found to be driving too closely will be subject to follow-up investigation.”
Insp Craig Clifton said the move followed concerns raised by several cycling groups, adding: “We hope this demonstrates that we do listen.”
