Police talk man out of suicide leap
A TRAINED police negotiator safely talked down a suicidal man from the top of a multi-storey car park.
Officers were called to Wellgate shortly before noon after witnesses reported seeing a man sitting with his feet dangling over the side.
Nearby roads were closed while the negotiator spent about an hour with the 23-year-old.
He was taken to Rotherham General Hospital shortly at about 12.45pm.
