Police release CCTV after serious assault outside Wickersley pub

POLICE investigating the assault of a man outside a pub in Wickersley have released CCTV stills of two men they want to identify.

Door staff at the Mason’s Arms pub called police at 1.26am on Saturday to report that they had found an injured man in the road outside, but he had left the scene.

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: “Initial enquiries led police to locate a 19-year-old man with head injuries. He was transported to hospital in a serious condition.

“CCTV led officers to believe that the man had been assaulted. They are now looking to identify the two men pictured, who they believe could assist them with their inquiry.

“Do you know these men? Please call 101 quoting incident number 79 of April 9 2022.”
