Police plea to track down Wombwell hit and run driver

A MAN needed hospital treatment after being hit by a car in a hit and run incident.

The incident happened on Barnsley Road near Aldham House Lane, Wombwell, at around 7.10pm on Tuesday, October 10.

The black vehicle hit the 40-year-old man, who was walking his dog.

His dog ran off but was later found.

A police spokesman said the driver did not stop and that enquiries remained ongoing to identify the driver.

Anyone with information is urged to call 101 quoting incident number 960 of October 10.
