Police looking for kidnap victim's helpers

DETECTIVES appealed for two members of the public who helped an alleged kidnap victim to come forward.

The pair took the 22-year-old injured man from Manvers Lake to nearby Dearne fire station after finding him at 2am.

The victim reported that he was kidnapped on Church Street, Swinton, and assaulted before being left at the lake.

A police spokesman said: “Officers are keen to trace these two individuals and speak to them as part of the ongoing investigation.”

Two men, both 24, have been charged with kidnapping in relation to the incident on June 17.
