Police keeping "open mind" over Greasbrough, Aston and South Anston home raids

POLICE are not linking three incidents in a week where residents were robbed in their own homes — but say they are keeping an open mind.

A house in Greasbrough, one in South Anston and another in Aston were all raided while the householders were at home.

Det Insp Emma Wheatcroft said: “We appreciate that these recent burglaries will be causing concern within our communities but please be assured that we have officers working relentlessly to follow up any and all lines of enquiry to identify those responsible.

“All investigations remain active and ongoing.

“While at this stage the burglaries don’t appear to be linked we are keeping an open mind as our enquiries continue.

“If any information is brought to our attention that does suggest a connection, this will of course be explored.

“We will endeavour to keep the public informed of any developments in our ongoing investigations but I'd urge anyone with information to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
