Police investigating Thornhill arson attack

DETECTIVES are appealing for information after cars were set alight in a Rotherham car park.

The vehicles were torched in a secure car park at industrial units on Hope Street, Thornhill, between 3am and 4am on Sunday, a police spokesperson said.

Det Cons Megan Byne, investigating, said: "At present, we are working hard to identify those responsible by viewing surrounding CCTV footage.

“I would urge anyone with any information in to the incident to contact us.

"If you were driving through the area in the early hours of Sunday, and witnessed any suspicious vehicles, please report this.”
