Police in CCTV appeal after stabbing near youth centre

POLICE have appealed for help identifying a man in connection with a stabbing near a youth centre.

A couple were reported to be walking their dog near myplace on St Ann’s Road when they were approached.

A police spokesperson said: “It is alleged that they were verbally assaulted by the man, who was also threatening to hurt the dog.

“It is then believed that the suspect stabbed the man in his left arm with a knife before fleeing the scene.”

Police have carried out extensive enquiries since the May 22 incident, the force said, and were now asking for the public’s help to identify a man seen in CCTV.
